Welcome to Physical Education Class

In Physical Education, I try to expose my students to a wide variety of activities. Team sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball and floor hockey are taught to emphasize cooperation, teamwork and fair play. Lifetime activities such as dance, jump rope, badminton, bowling, roller- skating and archery (4 & 5th only) give the students a chance to learn skills they may use to stay active for the rest of their lives. Lastly, fitness activities such as push-ups, jumping jacks, pull-ups, walking, running, and stretching supply the students with the tools they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. To ensure safety, students will need to wear soft-soled shoes that will not slide and comfortable clothes on the days that they come to PE. Please check the schedule to make sure that you know which days your child has PE. Also, it is very important for me to know about any medical condition or physical limitations that might affect your child’s ability to participate in certain activities. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns throughout the school year.
