Students are walking to the library tomorrow during their Social Studies rotation. A permission slip has been sent home, please sign it and return it tomorrow.
Field Day is Friday.
We have a busy week ahead of us!
Tomorrow we will be visiting the Judicial Building and the Detention Center as part of our DARE field trip with Officer Watwood before heading to Mike Miller Park to enjoy pizza and some down time! If you have not signed and returned your child’s permission slip along with the $1 for the buses please do that in the morning! Students are encouraged to wear DARE t-shirts and tennis shoes, sending sunscreen would also be a good idea:-)
Friday is Field Day!! Students will spend the day at MCHS participating in a variety of field events with the other elementary schools in the county. A permission slip is being sent home tomorrow. Please complete and return this to school as soon as possible. Tennis shoes MUST be worn Friday.
If you have not returned graduation pictures OR money for the graduation pictures please do so right away. Lifetouch will be here on Wednesday for one last pick-up.

Calendar–
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We hit the ground running today at school. Beginning today through Wednesday students are taking scrimmage tests to help prepare them for the state tests in May. They took the reading portion today, math will be tomorrow and they will finish on Wednesday with social studies and on demand. If your child is using their time wisely in class they should not have any homework over the next three days.
Reminders–
Spring and graduation pictures are due tomorrow!! If you want to place an order please send in the form and money. If you do not want to order a graduation package PLEASE send the pictures back to school so they can be returned to Lifetouch.
Field day t-shirts and the glow in the dark “BES Rocks” t-shirts are both on sale for $10. If you are wanting both shirts please make sure you pay for them seperately!
4th grade is selling Smencils this week for one dollar.
Take home Tuesday folders are coming home today. In it you’ll find your child’s report card. Please sign the report card jacket and return it to school tomorrow. There is also a “5th grade news” insert with many important dates. There is one correction–Team Ultra field day has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, not the 29th as indicated on the insert.
Graduation pictures are also being sent home today. If you wish to order these or Spring pictures, please have these returned to school by the end of next week.

Family Reading Night is tonight from 5:00-7:00. Students can shop at the book fair, take up to two AR tests for double points (up to 10 points) and receive a free book courtesy of the Family Resource Center.

More information on our Frankfort trip is coming home today. I have talked with the students about what to wear and not to wear. I know it is supposed to be a beautiful day but no shorts please. Jeans or khakis are preferred. Students will get their DARE shirts the morning of the trip. If you have any questions after reading today’s note please let me know. I’ll be happy to find an answer for you.

We will be dismissing at noon on Thursday in honor of Mr. Reed Conder. There will be NO children’s choir or Team Ultra. Day Cares and churches will be operating as usual.
Frankfort field trip permission slips are being sent home today in your child’s take home Tuesday folder. Please sign and return the bottom portion. Keep the top as it contains some important information.
